What it involves

Nursing care where you are most comfortable

A daily dressing, a course of injections or having stitches removed shouldn't mean you have to travel. The nurse comes to your home with the equipment, carries out the procedure, records every visit and lets you know if anything needs to be assessed by a doctor.

What's included

  • Care of surgical wounds, pressure ulcers and minor burns
  • Administration of injectable medication prescribed by a doctor
  • Vital signs and blood glucose monitoring
  • Removal of stitches, staples and catheters
  • A record of every visit and liaison with the doctor if needed

When to request it

  • After an operation, for wound care and stitch removal
  • If you have been prescribed a course of injections
  • For regular blood pressure or blood glucose checks
  • When a bedridden person needs wound care or ongoing care

Who it's for

  • Patients who have recently had surgery or been discharged
  • Older, dependent or bedridden people
  • Patients with chronic conditions who need frequent checks
  • Family members and carers who need professional support

Have private health insurance? We work with insurers and intermediaries: ask during the call whether your policy covers the visit.

Step by step

What the visit is like

No waiting rooms, no travelling: it all starts with a phone call.

  1. Request a visit

Call us or fill in the form with your name, phone number and postcode. You can request it for yourself or for a family member.

  2. Phone assessment

A healthcare professional calls you, asks about the symptoms and confirms that a home visit is the right option. If it isn't, we will tell you.

  3. The nurse provides the care

They bring all the equipment, carry out the procedure and keep a record. If more visits are needed, we schedule them with the same professional.

Frequently asked questions

What people usually ask us

  • What kind of wound care do you provide at home?

Simple dressings and care of surgical wounds, pressure ulcers and minor burns. If a wound is not healing well, the nurse reports it so that a doctor can assess it.

  • Can you give me an injection without a prescription?

No. We only administer medication prescribed by a doctor. Please have the prescription or the report with the dosage to hand when the nurse arrives.

  • Can the same nurse come every time?

Yes, whenever possible. For treatments lasting several days, we schedule the visits with the same professional to ensure continuity.

  • Which areas of Madrid do you cover with home nursing?

All 21 districts of the city of Madrid and the municipalities of the Madrid region, every day from 07:00 to 00:00. If you are unsure about your address, call us and we will confirm it.

  • Do I need to provide the equipment?

No. The nurse brings the equipment needed for wound care and procedures. The prescribed medication, however, must be provided by the patient.

Need wound care or an injection at home?

Call us and we will arrange the visit, or visits, with a nurse.

Is it a life-threatening emergency?

We do not handle life-threatening emergencies. For chest pain, severe difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness, signs of a stroke or heavy bleeding, call 112.
