What it involves

Children's care without taking your child out

A child with a fever is more comfortable in their own bed than in a waiting room. The paediatrician examines them in familiar surroundings, calmly explains what is wrong and how to look after them, and leaves you clear instructions for the next few hours: when to give the medicine, what to watch for and when to seek help again.

What's included

  • Full paediatric examination: ears, throat, breathing and abdomen
  • Monitoring of fever, hydration and general condition
  • Treatment and doses adjusted to the child's weight
  • Review of growth, weight, height and feeding
  • Guidance for the family and written instructions

When to request it

  • Fever, runny nose, cough or earache
  • Vomiting or diarrhoea with a risk of dehydration
  • Rashes, dermatitis or bites that are worrying you
  • Development check-ups and questions about feeding

Who it's for

  • Babies and newborns
  • Boys and girls up to 14 years old
  • Families with several children or without a car to hand
  • Parents who want to avoid infections in waiting rooms

Have private health insurance? We work with insurers and intermediaries: ask during the call whether your policy covers the visit.

Step by step

What the visit is like

No waiting rooms, no travelling: it all starts with a phone call.

  1. Request a visit

Call us or fill in the form with your name, phone number and postcode. You can request it for yourself or for a family member.

  2. Phone assessment

A healthcare professional calls you, asks about the symptoms and confirms that a home visit is the right option. If it isn't, we will tell you.

  3. The paediatrician visits your child

They examine your child at home, explain what is wrong and leave you the treatment and warning signs in writing.

Frequently asked questions

What people usually ask us

  • Up to what age do you see children?

From newborns to teenagers aged 14. From that age on, they are seen by a family doctor.

  • What problems do you treat at home?

Fever, mild infections, coughs, ear infections, sore throats, vomiting, diarrhoea, allergies and skin problems, among others. If we detect something that needs tests or a hospital assessment, we will tell you and give you a report.

  • Can I request a general check-up for my child?

Yes. We carry out development check-ups, monitor weight and height, and give advice on feeding and sleep.

  • What if they need a blood test?

We arrange for the sample to be taken at home with a laboratory or, if necessary, refer you to a medical centre with all the information from the visit.

Your child has a fever and you'd rather not take them out?

Call us and a paediatrician will assess whether a visit is needed.

Is it a life-threatening emergency?

We do not handle life-threatening emergencies. For chest pain, severe difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness, signs of a stroke or heavy bleeding, call 112.
